I’m an autodidact, American-sports-loving, beer-enjoying front-end developer from Sweden, who is currently working for ID Kommunikation, a communication agency based in Malmö, Sweden.
As you’ve probably guessed, my name is Kim Branzell. I’m 32 and live in a small town called Osby together with my wife, Emma, who works as a dietitian. When I’m not in front of my computer, I like to both play and listen to all kinds of music, but mostly retrowave and classical music. Something that I just started doing is brewing beer at home.
Generation after generation, members of my family pursued creative professions. My maternal grandfather was a painter. His maternal grandfather was an esteemed Swedish spelman who wrote beautiful Swedish folk music. I’m also related to several other painters, authors and people with creative occupations.
For my own part, I’ve known my way around computers and the web for as long as I can remember. This led to me enrolling in a web development program in high school. My web development teacher saw a talent in me and she’d let me run a class one day for my class-mates. I also got the chance to start a web agency as a school assignment under the Ung Företagsamhet umbrella.
That’s when I thought that maybe this was my calling. Since then I’ve been working full time with what I love, and I still love doing it.
